Angela Babirye is an accomplished insurance and financial services executive with over 20 years of experience spanning insurance brokerage and banking, covering underwriting, claims management, risk advisory, operations management, and corporate leadership. A Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) qualified practitioner, she has built an illustrious career delivering strategic insurance solutions, operational excellence, and client-focused risk management services across Uganda's financial services sector.

As General Manager of Clarkson Insurance Brokers Limited, a position she has held since December 2022, Angela provides strategic leadership for the company's technical operations, organizational leadership, financial management and human resource functions. She oversees the delivery of innovative insurance and risk management solutions, drives business growth, strengthens client relationships, and ensures compliance with industry regulations and best practices.

Prior to her appointment as General Manager, Angela served as Operations Manager and Principal Officer at Clarkson Insurance Brokers Limited from March 2016 to December 2022.  Before joining Clarkson, Angela held strategic roles at Stanbic bank and AON Uganda. The combination of banking and insurance expertise has enabled her to develop a comprehensive understanding of risk, finance, and business resilience, making her a trusted advisor to both corporate and individual clients.

Angela's unique blend of technical insurance knowledge, financial acumen, and executive leadership has earned her a reputation for professionalism, integrity, and results-driven management. She is passionate about advancing professionalism within the insurance industry and championing solutions that help businesses protect their assets, manage risk effectively, and achieve sustainable growth.
